No Good At This Self Promotion Thing

Hello my lovely readers. As you can see I haven’t been very active here because, well…life. And I’m not the kind of person that writes just for the sake of putting something out there. If I don’t have anything interesting to say, I’m not gonna waste your time. I’m old school like that. But, since it’s been so long since I’ve reached out, I just wanted to pop in and remind you that I’m still here and still working on new things.

First off, I’ve been diligently plugging away at Book Two of the Seven Souls Series, the follow up to Annihilation’s Song. It’s a beast however, and an alien one at that, so there’s a lot of new species and languages to sift through as I’m writing. It’s a long process for sure and I’m not going to rush just for the sake of producing more content, so here we are. But I’m definitely seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. With that in mind, I’ll be promoting Book One as soon as the edit process starts for Book Two so that we’re all back on the same proverbial page and living in the Gloriana Galaxy together!

In other news, I’m still over on TikTok with the occasional book recommendation (sadly, that’s been slim pickings lately too), Pinterest is full of some fun boards, and my Facebook Author Page is still up and running so we can stay connected. I’m seriously considering opting out of X sometime soon, but as of now, I’m there as well. Click the links below for all that and more.

Things I’m liking right now are Shrinking on Apple TV, (I recommend anything Bill Lawrence and/or Brett Goldstein, since the writing is top notch), I’m rewatching British Bake Off on Netflix for a little yummy, no stress guilty pleasure, and my Kindle is currently full of Elodie Hart, Layla Frost, and Nikki St. Crowe. I also enjoyed Sharon Lynn Fisher’s latest read - Tea & Alchemy - which was a solid attempt at putting a new spin on some very old and much recycled vampire lore.

What are you enjoying these days? My inquiring mind always wants to know, so feel free to drop me a note any time.

Be well! xo xo J
